About CirclevilleCircleville is a town in Piute County, Utah, United States. The population was 505 at the 2000 census. Circleville was originally settled in 1864. The town was named for the shape of the valley in which it is located, Circle Valley. The valley is completely circled by mountains except where the Sevier River goes in and out of the valley on the north and south. Circleville became an incorporated community on 24 August 1921. Local residents were interested in facilitating the public services which municipal government provides, and they were particularly interested in building a culinary water system. As of the census of 2000, there were 505 people, 172 households, and 132 families residing in the town. The population density was 55.7 people per square mile (21.5/km²). There were 222 housing units at an average density of 24.5 per square mile (9.5/km²).
